Total Livestock Genetics (TLG) was formed in 1989 in response to the need for a professional, independent collection service. Since then, TLG has successfully delivered world class products and services from its headquarters in Camperdown, Victoria.
TLG offers services for semen collection and embryo collection in cattle and sheep, as well as the live export of breeding stock
With a focus on Quality Assurance, TLG is the first centre registered with Certified Semen Services (CSS)» outside of North America/Canada. To maintain this voluntary accreditation TLG is audited annually by CSS for its compliance with all aspects of bovine semen collection. The audit process ranges from the welfare and facilities provided to our bulls, as well as an extended health testing protocol, semen processing, quality assurance and documentation.
As a registered exporter to the EU, we are accredited by The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS)» for export of semen and embryos - a process for which AQIS audits the centre twice annually. In recent years, government authorities from China and Chile have sent representatives to inspect and authorise the export of semen and embryos.
